Let’s talk about my addiction to coffee shops! Oh it’s a bad addiction but I think it’s good in the long run, want to know why? Getting coffee is how I get up, dressed and out of the house. Being a blogger/online store owner is literally my dream but on the weeks where I’m not traveling or shooting, I spend most of the day on my computer in my apartment.

Now I’m a total homebody so most of the time I’m sooooo okay with working from home, but sometimes I go stir crazy. I wait till Matt gets home and then I’m ready to hit the ground running to explore a new coffee shop in Dallas. My best friend Jennifer & I use to do this all the time in San Diego, we’d pick a new coffee shop in a new location, grab coffee and explore the new hood. It’s fun, and it includes two of my favorite things, coffee and window shopping.

No matter where I am in the world, I’m always exploring new coffee shops/ When I was home in New England, my mother & I visited literally the cutest coffee shop in Old Saybrook. I showed the whole vintage colonial shop on my snapchat (aubreyrose740), but if you missed the excitement check it out here.

We grabbed some coffee and walked down the surrounding roads to check out my favorite thing, colonial homes. It was a perfect day, especially since it was 65 degrees in the middle of October. Finally before heading out to pick up Tessie from high school we stopped at Pearls & Plaid, a local boutique. You guys know how much I loveeeeee buying local, so if you’re in the Old Saybrook area, make sure to check them out. I ended up purchasing a few cute chockers and scarfs to stash away for Christmas gifts.

So next time you’re bored or just blah, grab a friend, boyfriend or Mom & pick a town to explore. Find a coffee shop and just putz around. Some of my best memories come from those random coffee shop moments, so try it out. xx Aubrey tcc-at-home
