This post is long overdue and that’s mostly my fault but by no means was it intentional, I promise. I wasn’t planning on taking a break from blogging while traveling but was forced to, due to the fact that the internet was almost non-existent on our 9-day European cruise. I mean, it took me twenty minutes to upload an Instagram, so you can only imagine how irritating it was trying to upload videos, blog posts and photos that we had captured day by day. Initially, we had planned to blog in real-time by covering the trip day by day but quickly realized our plans were flawed. I felt horrible when I came to realize the unlimited WiFi package I had purchased, for $219 mind you, didn’t work at sea, ugh. Nonetheless, I’m back and ready to share what I can and get back into a routine, I so desperately crave.

After spending a weekend in Spain, which was the perfect amount of time, my family, Matt and I boarded the Norwegian Epic Cruise ship and headed out towards the Mediterranean Sea. We sailed for one and a half days until we landed at our first port, Naples. I’ve been lucky enough to visit Italy once before, and I can’t help but want to come back more and more with each passing visit.

Our large group of seven, woke up bright and early at 5:30 AM, to watch our cruise ship dock, only to rush off the boat and onto the first bus from Naples to The Amalfi Coast. We drove in a bus of thirty for about an hour and a half until we saw the gorgeous coastline of Amalfi. It is one of the prettiest sights I’ve ever seen and I’m already eager to get back and visit again. We drove along the cliff hang roads until we reached the town of Amalfi where we had a little over an hour to explore.

Here we drank some lemonade, ate some grapes and saw the beautifully tiled chapel of this little Italian town. I decided to borrow my sister’s new denim jumpsuit for the day and was so glad I did. Not only is this outfit wicked comfortable but it’s effortlessly chic appearance made me feel all that more European. I digress, now before leaving we did stick our feet into the Mediterranean Sea, which was something on Matt’s bucket list that I was happy to check off.

Our hour in Amalfi came and went, rather quickly, and before we knew it we were back on the bus off to Pompeii. I was rather eager to see Pompeii and honestly, even after spending an hour and a half within the park we barely covered anything. Basically what I’m trying to say is this park is huge and with so much to explore and discover I can’t wait to revisit. Tessa thought it would be fun to film a quick video bringing you all along with us for the day, which you can watch below. On that note, I’m going to keep this post short and sweet because the video really does this place more justice than my written word ever could. All and all, I really want to head back to Europe this holiday season, does anyone have any recommendations on places to go? If so leave a comment down below. xx Aubrey
