The summer is coming to a very sad end as Matt, my boyfriend heads back to college & I prepare to drop my sister off at college in North Carolina. I literally hate all the goodbyes & adios that I have to go through, but hey this is my last year!

Anyways I love wrapping up summer by traveling to my favorite places in CT, like Groton. While the Connecticut shoreline can be casual, I always like to dress up in my Groton Elegance. I saw this dress on sale at Nordstrom and HAD TO GET IT! It is elegant and simplistic, aka perfect.

I paired this lavender dress with nude heels & headed out to visit some friends on the shoreline. This outfit would be perfect for any cocktail gathering, as it gives you both a youthful & elegant style. One of the reasons I had to buy this dress is because I am in love with Kate Middleton, my fashion icon, and this dress totally screams Kate Middleton to me! What do you guys think?? xx A.
